10 Instagram-Worthy Travel Destinations

Escaping real life by scrolling through social media has become a common way to spend time during our lunch break, while waiting for friends to arrive at the bar, of if we need to escape after a hectic day at work. Instagram has the ability to transport us to another part of the world and tap into what other travelers are doing and provide the ultimate FOMO. And according to a recent article in the The Independent, millennials are booking trips to specific destinations based solely on inspirational photos posted on Instagram. So, we did our own unscientific survey among Instagrammers and found 10 hot destinations that will inspire millennial travelers to pack their bags and visit hot destinations, such as Machu Picchu in Peru and Figure 8 Pools in Australia.

It’s been a while since we’ve hit the swings on a playground, but who wouldn’t want to travel to Bali to hop on this swing as you gaze at the sunset while the warm waters of the Bali Sea lap at your toes? We’re adding this to our travel bucket list for sure!

We love when travelers set goals and attain them. Like the arduous hike along the Inca Trail to reach the final destination, Machu Picchu. You’ve gotta capture your big moment at the top, right?! It’s a marvelous site to behold and we totally understand why this popular ancient Incan site attracts thousands of travelers to visit every year.

CLIFFS OF MOHER (COUNTY CLARE, IRELAND)

You can’t make a trip to Ireland without exploring its lush countryside, which includes the Cliffs of Moher. And when you have fun guides like these two, the recommended two-hour visit might need to turn into an extended stay to explore the towns and villages in the area, like Doolin and Liscannor. A trip to the Emerald Isle just wouldn’t be complete without a stop here.

And it appears to be a popular bucket list destination when we perused a few travel-inspired Instagram accounts. It’s the quintessential Venetian experience that should be shared with your significant other during a romantic vacay or on your honeymoon

You can’t beat the awe-inspiring view of the world-famous collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park. Don’t be surprised if you see a few rubberneckers trying to get a view while they drive along scenic Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia.

If you’re planning a trip to Melbourne, you cannot miss out on a drive south to Brighton Beach for the sand and surf. And regardless of the season, a photo op with at least one of the 82 colorful bathing boxes, as your backdrop, is a must! With their classic Victorian architecture intact, these distinct decorated wooden structures have made the Brighton seaside immediately recognizable.
