Beach or Mountains; Your Travel Advisor

Being from North Dakota where we can have pretty brutal winters, I live for my beach getaways; but having lived in the Mountains for 15 years, I also embrace our winters by taking advantage for family ski getaways.

Because of my love of travel, I have always been the geek researching resorts and planning itineraries for myself, friends and family. When I was given the opportunity to pursue my own business as a travel advisor, I jumped at the chance!

I’m excited to have my associates at Specially Designed Travel, LLC as my mentors as I build my own clientele. The advantage of my working with them is that gives my clients access to three agents with different areas of expertise in vacations to Alaska to France as well as Caribbean beaches and ski resorts - we match you with the destination expert.

Karla was easy to work with, looked up several options that would work for our trips. Very responsive to silly questions that I needed to double check and sent us all of our travel documents a couple weeks before our trip. When our flight was cancelled she was easy to reach and she was in another country. She connected us with another agent we could work with in case her service got spotty and then helped us start all the claims for our travel insurance. She has so much knowledge and so helpful! I will absolutely go through her again.

Fun trip learning snowboarding!!

Karla was amazing from planning the trip through to the follow-up after the trip! She was easy yet extremely professional to work with and found a great location for my family to do a "snow sports" vacation over Spring Break. The trip went smoothly because of her preparations (transportation, lodging, ski/snowboard rentals (and even an exchange), snowboard lessons, etc.). She even moved our whole first day after she'd made reservations when I realized we needed a day to acclimate. Karla verified all reservations right before we left and reminded me to check in for the air travel. She was in contact during the trip to make sure everything was going well, which it was. She even planned some special treats for me as the trip was over my birthday! Afterwards, she was receptive to my feedback about the resort and how I might do things differently next time. I can't say enough wonderful things about working with Karla and will definitely contact her when it's time to plan our next vacation!!

Karla was great! This was my first time traveling out of the country other than being on a cruise. She kept our minds at ease and answered questions we didn’t know we had. Our vacation was everything we wanted! She is excellent at supporting you every step of the way and making sure that your vacation will fit what you are looking for.

Dream wedding ??

Karla was absolutely AMAZING! Not only did she help me find the wedding venue of my dreams, she booked every-single one of our guests (30 people) she made sure we all had everything we needed to fly out of the country, provided us with fun little tips we needed to know being tourists in another country. Karla took the time to call and check in with each of us to make sure we were on track with our documentation, she also sent us each a bamboo straw pouch because our hotel was a plastic straw free hotel!! She made my wedding planning experience so much easier! A HUGE THANK YOU to you Karla!!! Thank you for making my life easier and helping me plan the wedding of my DREAMS!!!

Would this vacation happen? YES!
"Due to the Vid [covid], this vacation was rescheduled from November to now and at times didn't even look like it could happen. To say there were hoops is an understatement. Karla was so amazing and stayed in touch the entire time to make sure we were informed and prepared. She took care of everything for plane travel, rules, and car rentals. (Even now as the snow doesn't want us to get home very easily...) She sent us ideas and links for excursions and restaurants! We don't travel much, we don't have passports, this was only the 2nd trip the kids had flown. But, we needed this to happen.... Make plans and save money for a family vacation soon! It is totally worth it! And, call Karla!"
