About Me:
Hello, my name is Katrina and I've been a travel advisor for over 7 years. I founded Family Fun Journeys in January 2021 in order to better focus on what I do best. Vacation Planning for Families and Multi-generational families traveling together.
I live in New Jersey with my husband of 18 years and our cat Oreo. Together we own Family Fun Hobbies, a family friendly board game, toy and hobby store. We do not have children of our own, but we consider the kids who have grown up shopping with us to be our honorary kids. Seeing the power of family fun in our business has been a true gift over the last 12+ years. While we carry many products to help people in their hobby, one of my biggest hobbies was clearly lacking to me, travel.
Disney Vacations make me happy. I've been to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, on a Disney Cruise and to Norway with Adventures by Disney. This passion for Disney and the lack of travel services in our store led me to become a travel advisor with a Disney focused home-based agency. As the agency grew, we added more destinations for our clients. Unfortunately, my preferred destinations and the travel style my clients were looking for didn't always align 100%, though it was not a huge obstacle. Then 2020 came along and our views on travel during the Covid-19 Pandemic definitely went two different ways. In the end we amicably decided to part ways and Family Fun Journeys was born!
Family Fun Journeys and Family Fun Hobbies are two totally separate businesses, but we share the same belief that everyone needs at least one hobby and family is core to our mental well being. I believe that the call to travel is real. That it absolutely is a hobby for many, but it can also be a focus on a trip of a lifetime. In either case, I am here to help make your journey as easy, smooth and fabulous as it can be.
I love to travel and have been all over and love seeing and doing new things as often as possible. I have #wanderlust for sure. I've seen many places in the USA. Have been to Europe multiple times as well as the Caribbean.
I have fibromyalgia and migraines, so I know what it's like to travel with a disability. Many of my vacations have included the use of a scooter/ecv. I know how different travel can be with health and mobility issues. I also have Celiac Disease, so I also know what it is like to travel with food allergies. I would love to help you fulfill any special needs you might have.
