While officially working in the travel industry may be relatively new for me, I am certainly not new to organizing and planning travel! My travel planning journey began with arranging corporate trips for a small Broker Dealer Firm in Westchester, NY. Eventually, I went on to arranging on and off site events (workshops, seminars, golf outings) and moved into international travel venues. After college, I went into teaching and and spent the better part of my first career teaching English to elementary and middle school students.
My teaching skills of organizing, planning, and attention to detail, paired with my love of travel, made me the perfect candidate for organizing large and small group trips and events. Our family grew to over 20 people and our annual trips ranged from international travel to Ireland, Italy, South America, The Carribean Islands, Puerto Rico, as well as a variety of domestic locations.
My favorite trip to plan and organize was my sister's wedding in Ireland. Our large group started in Dublin and made our way north to Enniskillen. Accommodations ranged from cozy cottages to grand castles. Excursions and outings included ziplining, milking cows, sailing, fishing, and late night "football" with locals. We sampled Irish fare while tapping our heals and raising our voices with the band.
Our crew has also traveled to Italy multiple times and each trip required coordination and planning for city tours in Rome, exploring vineyards in Tuscany, historical golf cart tours in Florence to meet the needs of us had mobility challenges, and my personal favorite, spending an afternoon in the mountains of Tuscany at an Agritorismo, known only to local discerning Italians. I arranged for cooking classes, yoga retreats, food tours, and charters.
I am thrilled to be working with DPB Travel, LLC. My goal as a Travel Consultant will be to assess the needs, wants, personalities, and styles of my clients and to help provide them with experiences that go beyond their expectations. I believe that both corporate and leisure travel should be experiences that yield lifetime memories.
