Hi there! I'm Jen, the proud owner of Hubbard Expeditions! I have over 5 years of experience as a travel advisor and an additional 8 years experience planning Walt Disney World vacations for family and friends.
Growing up, my travel exposure was limited to family camping trips with the occasional trip across the border to Mexico. When my son was 3 and my daughter was 14 years old, we took our first family trip to Walt Disney World and were instantly hooked. Since that initial trip in 2009, we've visited WDW over 30 times, often visiting at least once per year and have stayed on-site at 16 Disney Resort Hotels. My daughter has even worked at Disney World as a Disney College Program participant (she even met John Stamos!) and my husband and I are Disney Vacation Club owners since July, 2017.
My years of experience as a guest and my daughter's experience as a Cast Member have positioned us to provide unique insight for anyone planning a Disney trip, whether you're visiting the parks, taking a cruise, or choosing to experience an Adventures by Disney itinerary.
When my husband proposed in 2017, I originally wanted my dream Disney wedding, but the reality was that we both had family members who would not be able to make the trip from Houston to Orlando. While a Disney wedding was my dream, I realized that having my family there to celebrate our marriage was what I wanted most out of our wedding. This left us searching for a local option that would accommodate my large family while not breaking the bank. We quickly discovered that a cruise wedding would satisfy our needs perfectly! Because of the travel limitations, we decided on an embarkation day wedding while the ship was still in port in Galveston. This would allow our guests unable to travel to attend the wedding while being able to return home at the end of the day. It also gave us the unique opportunity to continue celebrating our marriage throughout the entire cruise with the guests who chose to sail with us. It also gave me the chance to not only plan a wedding, but to plan my first group sailing as a travel advisor!
Since 2017, I've been on over 10 cruises and am a Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society Diamond member. We still enjoy our trips to Disney World, but cruising has definitely found a place in our hearts as well! Interesting fact: I both closed and opened cruising in the US with trips book-ending the Covid shutdown. My son and I were on Liberty of the Seas from March 8-15, 2020 and my husband and I were on the first cruise that sailed out of the US after the shutdown (Symphony of the Seas from Miami in August, 2021).
I am well versed in all things cruise travel, and I love sharing my passion for cruising with others. Whether you're looking to book a family cruise to the Caribbean, a romantic river cruise in Europe, or an Alaskan voyage, I'm happy to make your dream a reality! I also love to draw on my own wedding experience to help brides plan their perfect cruise wedding. We can help you plan anything from a tiny elopement to a big embarkation day port wedding. We also book group travel for any size groups, perfect for anyone seeking a wedding at sea or a destination wedding in your favorite port of call! I've researched the cruise lines and their wedding offerings and can help you pick the perfect cruise line and ship for your ceremony.
Thanks for visiting and I can't wait to help you plan your next adventure!
