Some dream of the open road. I dream of the cobblestone paths of Old World Europe.
I caught the travel bug while on a high school trip to Europe. During college I backpacked throughout Italy and Croatia on a dime (or more appropriately a lira). It was during this trip that I realized the importance of a well-planned itinerary to make the most of your travel experience.
Since then I've continued to travel throughout Europe, planning numerous trips and tours all over the continent. My passport includes stamps from Portugal, England, Ireland, France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Russia and Sweden. Yet my passion continues to be Italy and Croatia.
In addition to traveling throughout Europe I have a great love and appreciation for seeing the United States, particularly the natural beauty of the National Parks. Whether it's the Grand Canyon and Joshua Tree in the Southwest, Mt. Rainier in the Pacific Northwest, or Acadia in northern Maine, there is so much to explore and embrace.
As a parent, one of my main priorities is to introduce my children to the wonders of the world and other cultures. There is no better way to instill a passion and love of travel than to do it together and from a young age.
The Cobblestone Traveler is my travel experience and philosophy. It is about seeing the world from the well-worn roads of cities and landmarks to the less-traveled stone paths of the countryside and villages. It's about dining at fine restaurants in European capitals and also sampling the local delicacies that have been passed down through generations. It's about seeing renowned works of art in famous museums as well as handmade crafts by local artists. It's time on the beaches of the Riviera, the peaks of the Alps, and the fjords of Norway. It's walking on the cobblestone paths wherever they may lead.
The Cobblestone Traveler is here to plan your trip as though it were my own. My goal is to help you make memories of a lifetime and pass along my passion for travel.
